About Raymond...

I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and graduated from Martin L. King, Jr., Senior High School as part of their Math, Science, and Applied Technology (MSAT) program in 1990. Somewhere along the way, I picked up a talent for creative writing, and a mild computer obsession. This combination actually drew the wrath of another Raymond Rodgers — a professional writer whose existance I wasn't aware of — in 1995 or 1996 when I wrote one of my first web pages while working at Scantron Quality Computers. He actually threatened by email to sue me for using his name without permission. After writing an angry response back to him stating that my name was also Raymond Rodgers, I never heard from him again. Funny thing life... Who'd have thought that two people with the same name would have the same interests?

At the end of 1996, I moved to California to seek a new beginning and to get on my own two feet. I'm currently looking to finally get a good start on my writing career. In accordance with that goal, I am now looking for freelance writing work and contacts to help me get my foot in the door.
